His "Tokyo-style" workshop, as Hideki Yoshida described it, was fully packed with model cars, car parts, car accessories, and countless photographs, magazines, and books about cars all serving as inspiration or references for his work.

Hideki liked to tirelessly reshape model cars with mastic and sandpaper to reach the perfect body curves. This long process was for him to memorize the curves and volumes of a given model that will later be magnified on canvas.
